AUTHOR BIO
Jennifer Troice is a Mexican sculptor who began her artistic career in music-first on the piano and then on the harp. She had her first experiences with sculpting at the American School where she participated in the IB Art program, a decisive moment for her artistic training. Later, she honed her knowledge at the Massachusetts College of Art in Boston in 2005 and completed studies in human-body drawing, engraving, welding, and casting. Jennifer works in bronze sculptures, an inherently difficult medium, and finishes her works with different colored patina to express her style. Inspired by Constantin Brancusi's Cubism, Jennifer framed her artistry with a style she calls geometric minimalism, present in many of her collections and art pieces: In the Depth, Endangered Species Collections, Imagine, and Tree of Life. Her pieces have been exhibited in both private and public spaces in Mexico City. Currently living in Dallas, Texas, Jennifer is a wife, mother of three boys, and an avid diver.
PRAISE
“As an art therapist, it is my pleasure to see more artists sharing their talents for the good of the community and spreading awareness of the intrinsic value of visual expression. My Silver Lining can inspire others to create for connection and healing in our world.” —Andrea Davis, CEO and Founder of Dallas Art Therapy, Board-Certified Art Therapist and Licensed Professional Counselor
“Jennifer has the ability to make us all feel seen and be heard through her art. Sculpting is an intense process, and she has mastered it. Her skill and passion are unlike others. Each piece has a meaning and a story, and to have the ability to express so much through languages other than English and Spanish is an inspiration.” —Esther Lewin, Early Childhood Teacher at the Early Childhood Education Center in Dallas, Texas
“My Silver Lining is profound. With such depth and breadth beyond the obvious beauty, I stand in awe of the magnificent amount of work that goes into every one of these masterpieces. I truly had no idea the heart, the soul, the skill, and the patience that goes into each piece before this; my appreciation level has gone up one-hundred-fold. Bravo, Jennifer!” —Sheree Wilson, Producer, Businesswoman and Actress on Dallas and Walker, Texas Ranger
“Jennifer’s journey speaks to the power that lies in choosing to shape adversity into beauty and impact. Her artwork—and her life’s work—is a vivid testament to everything that comes from being not the victim of what happens to us, but the master storyteller of our lives. I’m excited for others to know her story and be inspired to find their own silver linings.” —Itziar Diez-Canedo, Co-CEO and Founder of Via.work
