AUTHOR BIO

Born and raised on the Bishop Paiute reservation in California, Dr. Christina Brown has been around horses since early childhood. She left home to follow her dream of becoming an Indian Health Services Family Medicine Physician, but she never lost her love for horses or her appreciation for what they taught her: responsibility, accountability, love, and an enduring appreciation for God's creatures. She has spent her career giving back to her community and continues to do so through her children's books. She is fond of saying that every horse should experience the love of a child, and every child should have a chance to give that love. With her books, Dr. Brown wants to encourage every family to share that experience together. Abby and Taz still love spending time with each other, their animal pals, and their favorite humans on Dr. Brown's ranch, where she lives with her husband and four children.
