AUTHOR BIO

Connie Warnock has always loved animals and children. Growing up, she remembers receiving a book about dogs for every birthday and at Christmas. She was particularly fond of Albert Payson Terhune's books about his collies, and her love of dogs and books about them led her into a life full of canine companions. Lovingly led into the field of education by two parents who were dedicated teachers, Connie received her bachelor's in Education from Portland State University and taught elementary school in her native Oregon. In addition, she has spent thirty years breeding, raising, and showing dogs, and over the years, she has written many articles on dogs, particularly Shih Tzus, for local newspapers and national dog breed publications. Connie is a passionate advocate of ending puppy mills and finding homes for rescued dogs. A Christmas Tail is her first children's book.
