In the fall of 2010, she undergoes routine surgery for a cyst on her ovary and wakes up to learn she has ovarian cancer. Horrified by the way her friends and family fall apart upon hearing the news, Megan realizes she has to keep it together for their benefit. She updates them through her blog about your ongoing prognosis (which includes a move to Houston, Texas) as well as her ensuing adoption saga (she names the baby after Jay Z), dishing details in a manner that is irreverent, informative, and hilarious.
