RESPONSE TIME The manuscript review process will take up to THREE WEEKS to complete. We will contact you when the review is complete if we are interested in publishing your manuscript.
1) GETTING STARTED: Prior to submitting online, we strongly suggest the following initial steps:
First, familiarize yourself with our current catalog of titles to learn more about the types of books we publish. If your manuscript is best suited to our Brown Books Kids or Brown Christian Press imprint, please review the relevant site pages to familiarize yourself with their work.
Next, we recommend contacting BBPG by phone to discuss your manuscript with a member of our team. A preliminary call enables us to provide fast, honest feedback on your project—and reflects the authentic author relationships that serve as the cornerstone of our publishing process.
2) LANGUAGE REQUIREMENTS: Please note we can only accept submissions written in the English language.
3) FICTION-SPECIFIC REQUIREMENTS: Additional information is required for fiction submissions, and your fiction manuscript must be accompanied by a detailed synopsis, an author bio, and a marketing plan. Please note we publish very few works of fiction each year.
4) MATERIALS: Do NOT submit original/singular materials; original copies should always stay in the author’s possession, and only duplicates should be used when submitting to any publisher, including BBPG. BBPG will not return any physical materials submitted for consideration; this includes hard copies, CDs, flash drives, etc. Physical materials may be submitted to the following address:
