Brown Books is always seeking strong editorial intern candidates who want an inside look at the fascinating world of publishing.
Editorial interns assist in reviewing submitted manuscripts; editing, proofreading, and preparing books for publication; and creating promotional materials.
The internship lasts for approximately three months and applications are accepted on a rolling basis.
The internship is highly sought after and open to mature students enrolled in undergraduate or graduate programs, recent graduates, or anyone interested in gaining a foothold in the publishing world. Candidates must have strong knowledge of grammar and spelling, must be highly organized and efficient, and possess a professional demeanor. A writing and editing background is a plus, as is experience with the Chicago Manual of Style.
